This web application worked in collaboration with the packaging of Denny sausages. Users would find codes on their packs from selected stores. Using the Facebook app, they can pop in two codes for the chance to win a prize.
Validation was critical on this application, making sure codes entered were both valid & not used. As soon as a form was saved with the correct valid codes, they would be marked off as ‘used’, preventing others from using them.
Using AWS RDS, and an indexed MySQL table, I was able to create a system that was able to quickly detect and feedback to the user if their codes were correctly inputted.
